This article will discuss six great family vacation spots in different parts of
the world. Everyone has a different idea of what family vacation spots should offer, so check them out.
The first of our family vacation spots is in Antigua in the Caribbean

Hawksbill by Rex Resorts is a totally all inclusive resort with 111 rooms in four
different categories situated in over 30 acres of lush gardens about 30 minutes from the airport. What is
significant here is the large number of repeat guests. The resort has one of the best and most
secluded positions in Antigua with four beaches to choose from. There is no doubt that what you get here is
real Caribbean style and service that is affordable. There are two restaurants one by the beach and
different menus, from buffet through to A La Carte, with all day snacks. They can justifiably claim to make the
best rum punch in Antigua. Some rooms have only fans, but this is overcome by the strong and cooling tropical
breeze, and as there is no TV you are really escaping from life's pressures. Top features are the quality of the
staff especially at the bar, and the food. Dinner alternates between buffet and a la carte and the seafood
grill at lunch is really fresh. The watersports staff are very caring which is important for everyone but
especially kids. A quiet resort, and very laid back. For more details about Hawksbill by Rex Resorts CLICK HERE
On the other side of the world in Queensland Australia we come to one of our most highly recommended
family vacation spots
The Novotel Twin Waters Resort on the Sunshine Coast of Queensland has
360 well equipped rooms. It sits between the Maroochy River and the Ocean, and what you have here is the
perfect mix of an immaculate beachfront and the private lagoon which is a great and sheltered place for family
water sports. The whole resort sits in around 30 acres which is a mix of natural bush and manicured gardens.
What makes it a great family spot is that guests have free access to a huge number of activities, from sailing
on the lagoon, kayaking, kids bicycles, volleyball, and a host of daily activities. In addition there is a
heated pool and spa, the beach has a surf patrol, you can play tennis and golf, and also have lessons, to name
but a few. Catering arrangements include four restaurants and a selection of dining options, with buffet for all
main meals if you want. The rooms are spacious, clean and comfortable, the staff friendly and helpful, and the
food good. What is impressive for families is when it rains, and an alternative full activities program is laid
on. To learn more about the Novotel Twin Waters Resort CLICK HERE
From Australia we fly to one of the Out Islands in the Bahamas for another of the
excellent family vacation spots on Andros
Small Hope Bay Lodge on Andros is the kind of place you stumble across accidentally
when researching a vacation. It doesn't look like your classical family vacation spot, but the first thing to
notice is the all inclusive which is rare for a family friendly resort. You will find it uncrowded, totally non
commercialised because it is small. Children just love the unspoilt, empty, pristine beaches which are perfect
for shell hunting, and the shallow shelving beach is an ideal place to teach them to snorkel. You will find the
food quite superb, always fresh, good choices, at all three meals, and with drinks included fantastic value, and
the children will always find something they like. The accommodation is basic in 18 bungalows along the beach,
airconditioning costs extra, and there is no television or telephone, but all of this is more than made up for
by the atmosphere and the the sheer friendliness of everyone. A very sociable place that children and adults
love and as far away from a five star 'gin palace' resort as you can be. The Small Hope Bay Lodge is worth the
journey off the beaten path. To discover more about the Small Hope Bay Lodge CLICK HERE
The Bahamas to Bali for the fourth of our family vacation spots
The Intercontinental Bali Resort at Jimbaran Bay has
418 luxury rooms, and sits in 14 hectares of tropical garden and a seemingly endless stretch of white sand
beach. You will find everything from ornamental ponds and a winding lagoon all blending in with the
traditional Balines Architecture of the buildings. All of this is the backdrop to a resort that has something
for everyone, especially for families, and rated the best family resort in Bali. One of the reasons for this
is the large lawns in the resort, even with football goals set up, so that kids gravitate there, make friends
and play games. For adults there are plenty of sunbeds, and the position of the pool is quite superb. The
quality of food in the restaurants is generally extremely good if sometimes service always with a smile is
slow. There are however dozens of restaurants down the beach which need to be tried. If you can afford a Club
Room do because it gives you privileges free evening cocktails, all day snacks a separate pool amongst other
upgrades. For more information about the Intercontinental Bali Resort CLICK HERE
The fifth of our family vacation spots is at Cavelossim in Goa
The Leela Palace has long had the reputation as the grande madame of the resorts in
Goa and after refurbishment it is truer than ever. It sits in seventy five acres of lush tropical gardens
and sparkling lagoons where you will find the 206 rooms and suites. All are large, beautifully furnished, and
with all mod cons and private balconies. It is one of the great family vacation spots with an excellent
private beach, a well maintained if small golf course, a very good children's centre, and an excellent swimming
pool. The food in the restaurant outlets is very good with great choices, and beach shacks outside the hotel to
get the real and cheaper taste of Goa. There are excellent water sports on the beach provided by private
operators and plenty for the whole family to enjoy, then at night there is the casino for the adults. If you can
afford it book a Club Suite. For more information about The Leela Palace CLICK HERE
For the last of our family vacation resorts we go to Spain to Pals on the Costa Brava
La Costa Golf & Beach Resort with 120 rooms including 54 junior suites is
far from the madding crowds that throng the Costa Brava in the summer months. It is a rare resort with the
lovely beach on one side and a championship golf course on the other, so there is something for everyone, and
there are special resident discounts at the two local courses. The Hotel La Costa has fantastic
sporting and leisure facilities for its guests because not only does the hotel own the two
magnificent golf courses it also has a nearby beach club during the summer months which is great for the
family. Surfing, winsurfing and kayaking are just a taster of what is available. You can play tennis
on the hotel's courts even go ballooning, horse riding, take yacht trips, and bicycle trips. The Hotel has
a superb swimming pool for guests of all ages. The La Costa Restaurant offers an excellent buffet and a la
carte choice, and there is a coffee shop and the Bar 19th. Nearby there are good local restaurants serving
the local Catalonian Cuisine. For more information about La Costa Golf & Beach Resort CLICK HERE
