One of the best places to vacation has to be the Indian Ocean, and for our last article in this series of best places to vacation we travel to the Seychelles.

The Indian Ocean Lodge is on the west coast of Praslin island on Grande Anse beach the biggest beach on the island, one long stretch of putty like white powder sand. The location is just gorgeous. There are 32 rooms in eight double storey blocks and each has a four poster bed, and the most enormous shower heads, plus views that are almost unbelievable from the balconies. The hotel whilst not five star is very clean and tidy and well maintained with friendly staff. The food in the restaurant is fish based, but you can easily eat out if you need variety, and it would be sad to visit Praslin and not go exploring. Be aware that Praslin is very peaceful, there isn't a lot to do, although being on the equator you will be happy to enjoy the free non motorised water sports.
