If you are like me and have tried to buy an all inclusive cheap Caribbean vacation between Christmas and Easter, and totally failed to gat any kind of a bargain, you will have realised that this is high season. It was many years ago that I checked out both Jumby Bay and Sandy Lane, and I noticed a dramatic drop in prices that began in May. I was able to get an incredible bargain to Jumby which I couldn’t frankly believe.

I don’t know whether or not you have considered not only a vacation in South Africa, or even got as far as the planning stage. For most people a visit to South Africa tends to be in the middle of the European Winter, because of the attractions of blue sky and a much better temperature.

Naturally enough this is high season time in South Africa, and we should all know exactly what that means.

It of course means high prices, and crowds, two things that would put me right off.

The Casa Colonial Beach and Spa, is the only real five star hotel in the Dominican Republic. Unlike many five star hotels it is in many ways closer to being one of the best small inns & hotels in the Dominican Republic, with only 40 rooms but also in the whole Caribbean.

We decided to have Christmas in the Dominican Republic, and as we will only stay in five stars, and we don’t like all inclusive, we were very restricted. So after reading up a lot of reviews we selected the Casa Colonial for our vacation, and we really had no regrets.
