boutique hotel, luxury boutique hotel, Morocco Resort, Morocco Beach, Morocco Vacation, Morocco, Sousse Massa National Park, Ksar MassaA Luxury Boutique Spa Hotel in Morocco hidden away in the Sousse Massa National Park, on the Atlantic coast of Morocco could be the very place for the stressed executive to unwind. Here there is no reception for mobile phones, so throw your blackberry away, and enjoy a real escape from the blinking light that summonses you all year!!

Such a place is the Ksar Massa a mere forty five minute drive from Agadir, although you would do well to consider a taxi, and not a car, because the track leading to the hotel is deeply rutted, and a 4x4 will definitely be required especially in the wetter winter months. Arrival at this particular Morocco Boutique Hotel is something you won’t forget in a hurry, as the track to Ksar Massa runs for several miles past children, goats, donkeys, and then suddenly you loop down a steep hillside, and you arrive at the terracotta low building right on the water’s edge that is the hotel.

Entering Ksar Massa is an experience in itself, with the big walls, and the heavy carved door does not prepare you for the greenery of the sheltered sub tropical garden that greets you within the walls. The design is very traditional low crenellated  rooftops on three sides open to the sea with a central pool. The colours are all very bright Moroccan, dark plum, gold, blue, green, and aubergine, which fits exactly in with the design

This is a classical boutique hotel with only 16 rooms which are to be found in the three wings of the Ksar Massa, and each has its own terrace, where you can sit for hours on end with a good book, looking out to sea. The bedroom is almost a suite with an annexe which would be perfect for children, or just lounging on a day bed.

You will find silk rugs, stripy bedspreads, and Berber rugs and cushions. You will have ornate carved mirrors, patterned ceramic inlays in a screed floor, which looks absolutely fantastic. The bathrooms come with embroidered towels, face flannels, and dressing gowns, with loads of toiletries. In the room itself there are hairdryers, really crisp bed linen, CD Players.

The rooms have a really romantic middle eastern feel to them, and the sea views are a real bonus, although it is fair to say the small windows and dark colours can make the rooms feel gloomy, but certainly have been designed to be cool in the hot summers.

Food is a major feature of the Ksar Massa, and the main dining room has a truly romantic feel to it, as well as an unforgettable ocean view. Dinners are a set menu, prefaced by a cocktail in the bar or on the terrace. Lunches and breakfasts are served under a thatched gazebo on the terrace facing the sea.

Lunch is much more a buffet style pick and mix. All the meals are very much Moroccan in style with fish definitely a feature, and mini sweet tagines  stuffed with figs, apricots, honey, all appear at breakfast.

Ksar Massa is ideal for a honeymoon, and is the perfect Morocco Hotel for anyone looking for a really peaceful holiday.

The pool and the empty Moroccan beach make it an ideal place for children, but boredom could set in after a few days. Avoid July and August when the local campsite gets the use of the facilities. You should take binoculars and also the opportunity to see some of the amazing wildlife in Sousse Massa National Park.

This is a very nice luxury boutique hotel complete with lovely hamman, and is the ideal escape from reality Morocco Vacation spot, if only for a few days.
