Providenciales Beaches|World's Top Beach Destination
________________________________________________________
Providenciales beaches have been rated the world's top beach destination. Beautiful
white sand and clear turquoise sea, plus a good and healthy reef all add together to give the beaches on
Providenciales this world class reputation.
Beautiful Grace Bay beach is rated by many as the world's best beach, however there is a lot more in the way of
beaches on Providenciales than Grace Bay. Having said that this eleven mile stretch of beach, completely free of
any rocks at all backed by the turquoise sea makes Grace Bay close to perfection.
The drawback to Grace Bay, which has the added attraction of facing west for incredible sunsets, and
because of its reputation, is that it is the centre of tourism and the place where most hotels are.
To escape from the crowds that flock to Grace Bay in high season, you will need a four wheel drive vehicle to
explore the other beautiful beaches on Providenciales, where diving and snorkelling is terrific.
We will begin with Long Bay Beach which is directly opposite Grace Beach and opens into Long Bay itself. The
sand isn't anything like as soft and powdery as Grace Bay, but it is almost hotel free, people free, and very
sheltered being almost wave free as well.
For naturalists Little Water Cay is the only place in the world where you will find Rock Iguanas in their
natural habitat. What you need to do here is to hire a glass bottomed boat at Turtle Cove, and for families this is
a great place to spend the day. A bonus is the fact that the Rock Iguanas are really tame, almost friendly.

If you are looking for soft white sand and a clear blue-turquoise sea, then go to the beautiful Sapodilla Bay.
This beach is great for children because there are no waves, and the water is shallow and safe. It is quite a
drive from Grace Bay, but well worth it for the fantastic sunsets.
If you are the kind of person who likes a beach with no facilities, then North West Point Beach could be just
the place for you. It has lovely white sand, no waves, and is also a good spot for divers.
North West Point Beach has the unusual feature of tiki huts which were built for a French TV Castaway show a
number of years ago. They give the beach a South Pacific feel.
Finally in this brief resume of Providenciales Beaches you need to check out Malcolm's Road Beach. It is just to
the south of North West Point. This is where a four wheel drive vehicle becomes essential as the track is pretty
bumpy at the end, but the journey is so worthwhile. The soft white sand beach is absolutely wonderful with
almost nobody on it. Take your snorkel, and be amazed, but note a total lack of facilities.
This brief article will I hope have whetted your appetite for providenciales beaches, and after seeing them you
will realise why they are rated the world's best beaches. ___________________________________________________
